Fox Venturi Eductors are used for pneumatic conveying of nylon pellets in dilute phase systems. Is a maintenance-free pneumatic conveying solution of interest at your plant?
Learn More about how our conveying systems are used in the Plastics Industry
Fox venturi eductors have been installed in hundreds of plastic compounders, reprocessors and recyclers since 1963. They are commonly installed under extruders, pelletizers and screeners to pneumatically convey pellets with no degradation, angel hair, or fines. They are particularly useful when conveying glass-filled , fiberglass-filled, or abrasive pellets. These filled pellets can cause frequent failures with airlocks, which is why hundreds of Fox venturi eductors, often ceramic-lined, have replaced rotary valves at compounders. When rapid product or color changes are required, Fox clean-in-place CIP eductors are used for quick clean out to avoid cross contamination.
Fox eductors are used to handle plastic chips, flakes, and shredded plastic waste at plastic recycling and reprocessing plants, usually installed directly under hammermills and grinders. Such irregularly shaped plastic causes jams and failures with rotary airlocks, but are no problem with venturi eductors.
