Fox eductors are pneumatically conveying alternative fuels and biomass at hundreds of power and cogen plants, cement kilns , and waste-to-energy plants. Fox eductors are installed conveying a broad range of often irregularly shaped biomass fuels and are used where highly reliable pneumatic conveying is mandatory. Agricultural waste conveyed with eductors includes rice husks, crushed cotton seeds, corn cobs, wood trim and sawdust, coffee bean husks, and ground nut shells. Venturi eductors are particularly applicable as an alternative to rotary airlocks when conveying municipal or industrial waste (RDF) such as dried sewage sludge, shredded paper and plastic, chopped tires (TDF), used oil filters, ground carpets, etc. Rotary airlocks, are particularly problematic when used with flaky, irregularly shaped materials like agwaste. Fox eductors have no moving parts and no shafts, bearings, or seals to fail, and have often delivered twenty-plus years of maintenance-free pneumatic conveying service in some existing waste-to-energy and cement plants. They are currently operating globally at plants from Korea to Kenya to Mexico.
