Since 1963, Fox venturi eductors have been installed at hundreds of plastic compounders and recyclers, positioned directly under pelletizers, extruders, and screeners. Fox eductors pneumatically convey virgin and filled pellets with no damage, angelhair, or fines-generation, and are widely used to eliminate rotary airlocks when conveying glass-filled or abrasive pellets. Filled pellets cause frequent maintenance failures with rotary airlocks—which is why hundreds of ceramic-lined eductors have eliminated rotary valves at plastic compounders. When fast product or color changes are necessary, Fox clean-in-place (CIP) venturi eductors are used for quick clean-outs to eliminate cross-contamination.

Fox eductors pneumatically convey plastic flakes, chips, and shredded plastic waste at dozens of recycling plants. Such irregularly shaped plastic flakes cause jams and failures within rotary airlocks—often getting trapped between the rotor and housing—but post no challenge to venturi eductors.
