Food-grade Fox venturi eductors are installed in hundreds of plants to pneumatically convey a huge variety of food products. These are used to air convey foods such as sugar, salt, cereals, hop pellets, coffee, and spices, conveying from bulk bags, sieves, feeders, extruders, dust collectors, and bag dump stations. Fox venturi eductors are particularly useful (and widely installed) for conveying fragile materials such as snack foods, extruded cereals, green or roasted coffee beans, nuts, seeds, and IQF fruit like apple bits and berries. They are ideally suited for conveying low flow rates of additives like vitamins, spices and SiO2 for delivery to mixers or injection into existing convey lines

Fox supplies fully sanitary/hygienic 316 stainless steel venturi eductors with highly polished internals designed for CIP (clean-in-place) food and pharmaceutical applications. These are maintained as stock items for quick delivery in one- to four-inch lines (25 mm – 100 mm). European and North American system designers , as well as end users, have installed hundreds under spray dryers, conveying milk and coffee powders, eliminating rotary valves and their associated blowback.

Fox Valve’s scope of supply can include the integrated blower and eductor solution so that convey velocity can be controlled to minimize degradation during dilute phase conveying with fragile products. Fox systems can include food-grade, polished hoppers, slide-gate and diverter valves, level detectors with blower controls, and tubing. Fox can also supply coolers and HEPA filters when needed for conveying temperature-sensitive powders. Fox also makes CIP powder/liquid slurry eductors for introducing powders into solutions.
