Fox venturi eductors are installed in pneumatic conveying systems at many cement plants. Their ability to pneumatically convey abrasive CKD, ash, cement, and alternative fuels with no moving parts and high reliability makes them a preferred pneumatic conveying solution. Fox eductors are machined from solid metal bar and are therefore rugged, heavy-duty, robust equipment ideal for use in cement plants. Typical pneumatic conveying applications include:

  • Alternative fuel to kilns including agwaste like rice husks, corn cobs, cacao bean shells, wood chips, and sawdust, as well as industrial or municipal waste (RDF), petroleum coke, shredded paper and plastic, medical and biohazard waste, shredded tires (TDF), dried sewage sludge, used oil filters and MBM—meat and bone meal
  • pollution control and flue gas treatment systems, such as activated carbon injection (ACI), flue gas desulferization (FGD), and sorbent conveying applications for pollution mitigation where 24/7 reliability is critical
  • conveying fuels such as pulverized coal

Fox venturis are often installed under kiln-spills (leaking rotary kilns) to capture and convey high temperature CKD before it falls and creates a fire and workplace hazard. Fox eductors convey CKD at temperatures to 1600° F with no moving parts—quite impossible to do with a rotary valve.
