Fox Liquid Eductors for Refrigerants
  • Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) – R134a, R404a, R407C, R410a
  • Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) – R11, R12, R113, R114, R115
  • Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) – R22, R123

Fox currently supplies thousands of brass and stainless mini-eductors, every year, for inclusion in chillers. and HVAC systems for industrial or large building. These OEM’s are some of the largest global manufacturers in this industry. Fox eductors in refrigerant applications have typically been customized or optimized around each specific application, usually via a development process that included a few quickly supplied proof-of-concept prototypes or R & D mini-eductors that enabled easy adjustment of key flow rates during preliminary testing. This process can be completed in just a few weeks. Refrigerants in both the liquids and vapor stage can enter the eductors.

Key to quick delivery of prototypes is Fox Valve’s inventory of unassembled mini-eductors in 316 ss and brass for air and water service. These components can then be: a) quickly modified at Fox Valve to meet user operating conditions and then b) welded or braze assembled to create prototypes. These first test units then evolve into fully optimized hardware – supplied in the thousands, with whatever end connections best facilitate installation in the refrigeration loop with a minimum of clunky, heavy and expensive fittings and adapters. Ends can be SAE 45° flared tube connections, JIC 37° flared fittings, NPT, or plain tubing. UL approved units are available.

Although the above discussion focuses on our OEM customers who procure small mini-eductors, we can supply liquid eductors in line sizes from 1/2” to 12” for use with refrigerants.
